Grace
Grace was born on to a very poor Mother, she was sick with malnutrition and her Mother died with HIV/Aids in at City Hospital, Harare. Grace has no living relatives, after her mum died in hospital she was abandoned in the hospital by a remaining Uncle who we have been told has since passed away. Grace was very sick when we found her in the hospital, she was just 6 months old, she was skin and bones with suppurating sores all over her body especially her face, and we stayed by her bedside for 2 weeks, feeding, bathing and encouraging her, she was a very unhappy little girl who lay quietly and in pain and never smiled, after building up her strength she was released to us and has blossomed in every way. She started to talk straight away and has not stopped since! She has grown in every part of her life to become the sweetest child, her manner and general loving personality is adored by all, she interacts with all the other children and has great confidence, she leads them in games and races and is quite competitive, Grace is a treasure who lights up everyone’s life when they meet her, we have high hopes for Grace and are planning on her schooling already, she seems to have an aptitude for learning and is excelling in our pre school, already she can recognize numbers and words, knows all the colours, has a great memory and can say lots of nursery rhymes.
Can you help?
We would ask you to pray and think if you would like to be involved in Grace’s life, we are seeking to build an education fund which will enable us to send her to a top school here in Harare and give her a chance to excel. The Government schools have an average class size of 50 children and costs US$120 per term, there are 3 terms per school year, an A grade school costs US$250 per term, and a private school is anything from US$750 to a Christian private school at US$1500 per term. If you think you would like to get involved with us in sponsoring Grace for school please send us an e mail with Grace in the subject box, you can sponsor any amount on a monthly, per term or annual basis. Thank you for reading this we look forward to hearing from you, as you can see from Grace’s birthday she is still a few years away from school age but we are trying to build a fund to see what type of school we can send her to, we want her to have as great an opportunity as we can provide, we don’t know what the fees will be when she actually starts school! We will put all monies received into her personal fund and it will not be used for any other purpose.
